Lane Maintenance is a way for the auction's administrator to "map" out how the auction's lanes are setup. Auctions will be able to "map" lanes that were set up in the AMS to a physical lane, label lot numbers per lane, add start at/end at times to a lane, and add descriptions about the lane.
[Note: These lane settings impact the way your inventory is displayed on EDGE Lookout and EDGE Pipeline. However these lane setting do NOT impact the arrangement of your inventory for Simulcast. The simulcast lanes setting are all handled by your Virtual Lots settings.]
How to add a new lane mapping?
Part 1 - Navigate to "Lane Maintenance", then click the "+" to get to the Adding a new Lane Mapping screen:
Part 2 - Mapping a Physical Lane to an AMS Lane:
[Note: The AMS Lane values in the drop down menu come directly out of your AMS (auction management system). You cannot manually add AMS Lane values in Edge Admin.]
Part 3 - Assigning Lot numbers:
[Note: If you want to simply include all numbers, leave these values empty. This is not a required field]
Part 4 - Setting the Start At and End At:
[Note: You can set a start time and end time for your individual lanes. This is not a required field.]
Part 5 - Adding a Description and setting the Sale Type:
[Note: Add a description to communicate more details to your customer about the lane. Select an applicable Sale Type and NADA Sale Type, as needed.]
